Meet Our Talented Team Members

Ron Yacoub

President

Ron established Pinecrest Physical Therapy in the spring of 2005 after working in several different clinical settings throughout the country. Since that time, he has worked to evaluate and treat clients with various orthopedic and neurological conditions, helping them return to an active lifestyle. Whether it is rehabilitation or reconditioning high-level athletes from high school to a professional level, Ron’s passion has always been to help our patients regain their form and to return to their sport.

Master of Science in Physical Therapy, University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL Bachelor of Science, Biology, University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL​​.

CERTIFICATIONS:​

Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), National Athletic Trainer Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Richard Jackson

Co-Clinical Coordinator

Richard graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida International University in 2014. During his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, he completed his degree in Exercise Science.

After completing his final internship with us, Richard was invited to join our staff as a licensed physical therapist. His areas of interest include sports related injuries, orthopedic rehabilitation, and injury prevention. 

As a Miami native, Richard speaks Spanish, enjoys being physically active and looks forward to spending his free time fishing.

Hannah Balmaseda

Athletic Trainer

Hannah graduated with her masters in Athletic Training from Florida International University in 2017. As a former collegiate soccer player, she developed her passion for sports. She specializes in soccer and baseball athletes.

She spent her clinical rotations with the Sporting Kansas City MLS team and US Women’s National Soccer Team before their Olympic appearance. She also spent time as an assistant athletic trainer with the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs organization.

She enjoys playing sports and is in several recreational leagues.

Matt Collazo

Athletic Trainer

Matthew is a Miami native and graduated with his bachelors in Athletic Training from the University of Miami.

From college Matt spent 3 years in the Milwaukee Brewers organization as an athletic trainer before returning to Miami to complete his Masters degree in Kinesiology from Florida International University. Matthew also spent time as an associate athletic trainer in the NFL with the Panthers and Jets, which formed his passion for sports therapy and general rehabilitation.

Matthew enjoys playing sports as well as keeping up with local professional teams.
